To ask the Scottish Government whether it has taken steps to ensure that the transition to the proposed new funding model for specialist services for women and girls affected by gender-based violence does not result in interruptions in funding for rape crisis centres.
Answer
In March 2022, the Scottish Government agreed that the Delivering Equally Safe (DES) funding period should be extended by 18 months beyond September 2023, to allow suitable lead in time for a new funding model to be developed, following the conclusion of the Independent Strategic Funding Review.
The Scottish Government established the Independent Strategic Review of Funding and Commissioning of violence against women and girls services to develop a new funding model to ensure victims have access to high-quality, accessible specialist support.

To ask the Scottish Government what support it provides to charities supporting families to prevent family breakdown.
Answer
The Scottish Government wants children to grow up loved, safe and respected and to fulfil their potential, and our third sector partners play a critical role in achieving this.
We are providing over £34 million to a wide range of third sector organisations who are delivering support to families through a number of programmes – the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund, the Children, Young People and Families Early Intervention & Adult Learning & Empowering Communities third sector fund, the Residential Rehabilitation Rapid Capacity Programme, the Drug and Alcohol Services – Improving Holistic Family Support Framework - as well as through direct grant funding to organisations who are providing relationship support and support to families affected by imprisonment.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S6W-17602 by Neil Gray on 12 May 2023, under the Fair Work First Framework on conditionality for public sector grants, what action will be taken where an employer (a) has provided inaccurate evidence in relation to and (b) no longer continues to meet, conditions on (i) effective voice and (ii) Real Living Wage.
Answer
We expect all grant recipients to comply with grant conditions. A grant offer letter is a contract, therefore non-compliance is a breach of this, and should be dealt with in line with existing guidance. The Scottish Public Finance Manual sets out the process for applying a clawback condition on funds, if reasonable and appropriate to do so.
We have published updated Fair Work First guidance to support grant recipients and fund administrators to apply the conditions effectively.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S6W-17950 by Gillian Martin on 23 May 2023, on what date it will next meet with Danish officials; what advice and knowledge it received from Danish officials at previous meetings regarding community and co-operative ownership, and what actions and policy decisions it has taken based on any such advice.
Answer
In June 2022, Scottish Government officials discussed the subject of community and co-operative ownership with Danish officials in the context of heat network ownership models, where officials received a presentation outlining different ownership types and their relative proportions in the Danish market whilst noting that community owned co-operative heat networks are responsible for a small proportion of delivered heat compared to larger municipally owned heat networks in Denmark. No further discussions have been held on the subject of community or co-operative ownership since.
Scottish Government officials will be meeting Danish officials in June 2023 to review activity taken place during the past financial year under the Memorandum of Understanding.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S6W-17148 by
Michael Matheson on 2 May 2023, whether it has since become aware of any
shortages of radionuclide for bone scans in NHS boards, including NHS Tayside,
which have reportedly affected prostate cancer patients who require such scans
to check whether their cancer has spread to their bones, and, if so, how it is
addressing any such shortages.
Answer
The Scottish Government can confirm there are no known shortages of radionuclides involved in bone scans.
Medicines shortages can arise for various reasons such as difficulties with manufacturing or with the supply of raw materials. The production of medicines is complex and highly regulated, and materials and processes must meet rigorous safety and quality standards. While disruptions in medicine supply can occur, they are often short in nature.
