That the Parliament acknowledges the achievements of Gilfoot TARA Action Group, which have led to it being shortlisted for the TIS National Excellence Awards in the Tenant Group of the Year category; understands that the Tenant Group of the Year award recognises tenants, residents, or a community group, who have made an outstanding contribution, demonstrated good practice from which others can learn, and shown that they have added value to the local area and improved community spirit; congratulates Gilfoot TARA Action Group on its nomination and for what it sees as its significant contribution to the Gilfoot and Newmilns area of East Ayrshire; notes that its work aims to contribute to maintaining safe and affordable housing conditions as well as improve the lives of community residents, and wishes Gilfoot TARA Action Group well at the awards and beyond.

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Warriors, which has set its sights on raising £85,000 through the Fighting for our Families campaign for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity; understands that this is the eighth year the club has supported Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and the second year of the season-wide Fighting for our Families campaign; notes that Glasgow Warriors and the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity are launching the campaign on the UN’s International Day of Charity, which seeks to mobilise people and stakeholders, all around the world, to help others through volunteering and philanthropic activities, and understands that, after successfully raising £53,971 for the charity in the first year of the Fighting for our Families campaign, the club is now determined to substantially increase that support by enhancing its current fundraising activities and introducing new collaborations, all while mobilising supporters, sponsors, grassroots rugby clubs and schools across its community.

That the Parliament congratulates Duntocher-based gift shop, Gingerbread Dreams, on celebrating its 20th anniversary; understands that the family-run shop sells personalised plaques, candles and home decor and has become one of the most popular shops in Clydebank; further understands that the shop marked the occasion by hosting a tea party, which raised £915 for Macmillan Cancer Support, and wishes owner Suzie McSwiggan and her family all the best in the future as they continue to provide high-quality gifts to the people of Clydebank and beyond.

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen International Airport on its 90th anniversary; notes that the airport opened in July 1934 as Dyce Aerodrome; recognises what it sees as its historical significance, including its conversion to RAF Dyce during the Second World War; understands that the airport now serves approximately 2 million passengers annually, connecting them to 30 global destinations; believes that the airport plays a vital economic role in supporting thousands of jobs within and around Aberdeen; commends what it sees as the airport's commitment to the local community, particularly its fundraising efforts, which have raised tens of thousands of pounds for local charities through events such as the successful Runway Run; appreciates the airport's contribution to regional connectivity and economic growth over the past nine decades, and wishes Aberdeen International Airport continued success and growth in the years to come.

That the Parliament congratulates everyone involved on the opening of the new Govan-Partick bridge, which will be marked with a musical extravaganza in the form of a free one-off festival on 7 September 2024; understands that, being organised by the team behind the Govan Music Festival and Govan’s regeneration orchestra, the Glasgow Barons, the Govan Footbridge Festival will bring local grassroots performers and huge Scottish acts together in a day of musical celebration across the streets of Govan; further understands that the multi-genre, unticketed festival will take place between 10.00 am and 8.00 pm and see Govan Road closed off for the day, with performances taking place across the whole of Govan Cross, as well as at the Footbridge Plaza next to the Govan entrance of the footbridge, and highlights that well-known names will be performing along with local school choirs, the Gilded Lilies singing group, the Govan Allsorts Community Choir and the Govan Community Pipe Band, while a Community Cèilidh will be held on Govan Road.

That the Parliament congratulates the residents and staff of Urray House Care Home in Muir of Ord and Innis Mhor Care Home in Tain as they celebrate their 10th anniversaries in September 2024; believes that both care homes are highly valued within their local communities, hosting coffee mornings, offering fun and inclusive activities for families and children, and fostering strong intergenerational connections; acknowledges what it sees as the high standard of care provided at both homes, as reflected in the independent Care Inspectorate's grading of Urray House and Innis Mhor as grade 5 (very good) in their support of residents' wellbeing; congratulates Parklands Care Homes, the operator of both facilities, for its ongoing investment in expanding care capacity across the Highlands, and extends its best wishes to the residents and staff of Urray House and Innis Mhor as they celebrate this important milestone.

That the Parliament congratulates Zara Flett, from Kirkwall, on receiving a Winning Students 100 scholarship, which was awarded for her commitment to both netball and her degree studies at UHI Orkney; further congratulates her on receiving the UHI Sporting Blues Half Blue award, in recognition of her stellar performance in the university team; believes that this scholarship will allow Zara to travel more regularly to training and competitions with both the Strathclyde Sirens and Scotland "A" squad, whilst keeping up with her studies at home; recognises the hard work and tenacity that Zara has shown whilst performing at such a high level in the sport, alongside her commitment to obtaining a degree in business management; looks forward to seeing Zara continue to thrive in the netball world, and wishes her the best with her ongoing studies.

That the Parliament congratulates St Thomas’ Primary School in Wishaw on being awarded Primary Sports School of the Year at the recent North Lanarkshire Sport and Volunteer Awards; understands that the annual event, now in its ninth year, offers 12 awards for individuals, groups and schools; further understands that the event celebrates sporting excellence and provides an opportunity to thank the many volunteers in our communities who give their time to support and inspire others; commends all the winners and nominees for their remarkable achievements and for making a lasting difference to so many people in North Lanarkshire, and wishes St Thomas' Primary all the best for the future.

That the Parliament congratulates Constance Care North Lanarkshire on raising £1,200 for the Wishaw MS Support Group; understands that Constance Care North Lanarkshire, which is based in Motherwell, fundraised for the Wishaw MS Support Group after being inspired by a “very special” client, who was supported by the organisation; notes that over 17,000 people live with MS in Scotland, which, it understands, makes MS more common in Scotland than most other countries in the world; thanks the staff of Constance Care, and wishes all those who attend the group all the best for the future.

That the Parliament congratulates the Fraserburgh Sea Cadets Unit, and all its volunteers past and present, on the occasion of its 80th anniversary; notes that the Fraserburgh Sea Cadets Unit aims to help young people to grow into the person they want to be, in a safe and friendly environment; further notes that the unit offers many different activities from sailing, windsurfing and powerboating to rock climbing, camping and music; understands that the 80th anniversary will be marked with several public events, such as a church service, parade and open day, and wishes all the volunteers past and present the very best for the future.
