To ask the Scottish Government (a) how many civil servants have worked on the Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Bill, broken down by pay band, and (b) what the total cost of civil service resources for work on the Bill has been, in each month since it was proposed.
Answer
It is not possible to provide information on staffing costs for this work because in line with usual practice, details of individual tasks carried out by civil servants, including the number of hours spent on them, are not routinely recorded as there is no business need to do that.

To ask the Scottish Government what its position is on whether the presence of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) in a building has any safety implications during an incident where firefighters are required to attend.
Answer
The recent concerns noted around Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) are acknowledged by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and partner agencies. Where the material is in poor condition, has degraded or has been incorrectly installed, there could be a greater risk of weakness or collapse which could present additional safety implications. Where RAAC is identified through SFRS Operational Intelligence information gathering or a Fire Safety Enforcement audit, SFRS staff will record information regarding any affected buildings. This allows SFRS to develop a tactical plan to protect firefighters and minimise risk to the wider public in the event of any emergency incident. The safety of fire fighters is paramount and during an incident SFRS will undertake a dynamic risk assessment where necessary to take into account all potential risks, including the presence of RAAC.

To ask the Scottish Government what objectives it set for any funding that it provided to Shelter, the National Campaign for Homeless People Limited in 2022.
Answer
Shelter, the National Campaign for Homeless People Limited includes two registered charities: England and Wales (charity number 263710) and Scotland (charity number SCO02327).The Scottish Government only provided funding to Shelter Scotland in 2022. The three projects funded were the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership, the Scottish Housing Law Service and the Private Rented Sector Homeless Prevention in Dundee project.
The Scottish Empty Homes Partnership’s main objective was to bring as many of Scotland’s long-term empty homes back into use as is possible and to have a dedicated empty homes officer working across all 32 local authorities by March 2022.
The main objective of the grant for the Scottish Housing Law Service was to provide legal advice and representation to those seeking to exercise their legal rights to retain housing, access housing or improve their housing conditions.
The main objective of the grant for the Private Rented Sector Homeless Prevention in Dundee project was to prevent homelessness in the private rented sector by taking an early intervention approach with households at risk of building up arrears to prevent evictions into homelessness.

To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body whether the Scottish Parliament will fly the flag of Palestine to mark International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on 29 November 2024.
Answer
The Scottish Parliament has a flag flying policy in place which sets out the circumstances of when flags will be flown. A copy of the policy can be found here. The circumstances in which the flying of flags is appropriate are very carefully set out, as it is essential that the Parliament maintains its impartiality. There are no plans in place to fly the flag of Palestine on 29 November 2024.
