That the Parliament congratulates the Cardenden Playpark Committee on the official opening of the Keirs Brae Playpark; recognises that the park is the result of months of hard work by the committee, supported by the generous efforts of the community and various organisations; recognises that, in March 2023, members of Cowdenbeath Area Committee committed £40,000 from the Community Recovery Fund and that the Playpark Committee, which is made up of dedicated residents, launched an inspiring campaign to raise additional funds to make the dream of a new playpark a reality; further recognises the generous donations received from the Cowdenbeath Community Recovery Fund, Foundation Scotland, Kingdom Housing Association, Ore Valley Housing Association, Westfield Community Fund, Fife Environmental Trust and the Scottish Government; welcomes the role that pupils at Cardenden Primary School and residents were encouraged to play in selecting the final design; notes that this is the second playpark opened by the Playpark Committee and Fife Council in Cardenden and that they are in the process of a public consultation on a third; wishes the children of Cardenden many years of fun enjoying the new Keirs Brae playpark, and looks forward to future development at Balgreggie Park.
