Nick Gardner Raises Over £60,000 Climbing All of Scotland’s Munros

That the Parliament congratulates 82-year-old Nick Gardner, from Gairloch, on completing his attempt to climb all of Scotland’s 282 Munros; understands that Nick was inspired to undertake the challenge after his wife, Janet Gardner, went into full-time care after developing Alzheimer’s and osteoporosis; notes that Nick began the challenge in July 2020 and has since gone on to raise over £60,000 for Alzheimer Scotland and the Royal Osteoporosis Society; further notes that Nick has been nominated by his daughter, Sally McKenzie, to the Guinness World Records for the oldest person to climb Scotland’s Munros, and wishes him and his family the very best for the future.
