Tayside Cities Region Bid for UK City of Culture 2025

That the Parliament backs the bid by the Tay Cities region to become the UK City of Culture 2025; notes that Perth and Kinross Council, Dundee City Council, Angus Council and Fife Council are working in partnership on the application, together with regional cultural trusts; considers that the Tay Cities region is home to world-class cultural attractions, including V&A Dundee and Pitlochry Festival Theatre, and will be boosted by the Stone of Destiny being the centrepiece of a revamped Perth City Hall, and wishes the Tay Cities region all the best with its bid to be the UK City of Culture 2025, which will be announced in May 2022.
