That the Parliament welcomes the return of the Scottish Coal Carrying Championships in Kelty, which will be held on 28 August 2021; notes that this event is formally recognised as the national championship and one of only two known coal races in the world; congratulates all those involved in organising and running the event; expresses thanks to the National Pride UK Community Interest Company for sponsoring the event; considers that the Scottish Coal Carrying Championship is a celebration of the rich coal mining heritage of Kelty, Fife and Scotland, and wishes all participants well in the contest.
