Fife Free Press Celebrates 150 Years

That the Parliament recognises the outstanding achievement of the Fife Free Press, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary; notes that the first edition was published in January 1871 and that, since then, it has continued to hold offices in Kirkcaldy; commends the staff, past and present, for their tireless efforts to uphold the newspaper's goal to “chronical and criticise faithfully and independently” and for their passion for inform Fifers on issues effecting everything from national legislation to matters impacting on the heart of communities, and hopes that the newspaper will long continue to serve the people of Fife.
