That the Parliament congratulates the President-elect, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr, and the Vice President-elect, Kamala Harris, on winning the US presidential election; recognises that Senator Harris is the first woman and woman of colour to achieve the rank of Vice President; acknowledges the momentousness of this achievement as women have only been able to vote in the US since 1920, and that people of colour have only been able to vote there since 1965, and praises the incoming administration’s message of unity and tolerance rather than division and prejudice.
