That the Parliament commends the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) on the donation of its 100th fire appliance to the International Fire and Rescue Association (IFRA); understands the vehicle, named Centurion, will travel to Paraguay where it will help firefighters respond effectively to a range of emergencies and protect their communities; notes the work of SFRS and IFRA to help protect lives and communities not just in Scotland but across the world, in places that need such support the most; commends SFRS's commitment to donating appliances and kit, including boots, gloves and helmets; understands that, over the last 18 years, the Fife-based IFRA has helped firefighting services in 21 countries, completed over 70 training missions and sent 60 containers of equipment, with the 61st already scheduled for Argentina in October 2020; praises the SFRS and the IFRA on their vital contribution to saving lives worldwide, and wishes them the best for the future.
