That the Parliament recognises the achievements of the Kirkcaldy-based charity, Nourish; understands the group was founded in 2011 by five parents who hired a room in a community centre and borrowed children’s toys so that families with additional support needs in the area could come along to socialise and have fun while accessing invaluable support; notes the tremendous progress of the group, which, it believes, is testament to the passion and dedication of its committee members and volunteers; acknowledges its recent fundraising appeal and the sponsored activities undertaken by the volunteers to help the charity realise its aim and long-term goal of providing a dedicated family support centre for people living with disability; welcomes the support that the group offers to families caring for loved ones who are disabled or have limiting medical conditions through weekly support meetings, fun days, family drop-in sessions and holiday clubs; commends the work of everyone involved with Nourish, and wishes the group the best of luck in achieving its goals.
