That the Parliament congratulates everyone involved with 2019’s Walk for Freya, which raised over £3,000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young; understands that the five-mile walk was undertaken in memory of Freya Dalrymple, who tragically died due to an undiagnosed heart condition; further understands that the money will help to pay for a programme of heart screenings in Orkney to try to prevent similar instances; notes that such screenings are able to dramatically reduce the likelihood of young sudden cardiac arrests; thanks both Freya’s family and the local community for their work in establishing such a welcome campaign, and wishes everyone involved success in continuing it.
