Awards for All Funding in Falkirk District

That the Parliament congratulates groups across Falkirk district on receiving Awards for All funding; notes that California Primary School Parent Council has received £10,000 to buy and install a MUGA pitch for use by the school and wider community; understands that Falkirk Muslim Community Club 55 and Over received £9,967 to support delivery of a programme of social and cultural activities for older people from South Asian backgrounds in the area in a bid to reduce loneliness and improve general wellbeing; notes that PLUS Forth Valley, which provides a better quality of life for disabled children and young people and their families across Forth Valley through social inclusion and regular short breaks, has received £7,530; further notes that Relationships Scotland Couple Counselling Central Scotland has received £10,000 to deliver a programme of talking therapy sessions to families facing a variety of challenges across the Forth Valley area; considers that these groups provide vital services to individuals, families and communities across Falkirk district and the wider Forth Valley, enabling positive outcomes and the general wellbeing of citizens to be maintained; welcomes funding from Awards for All for all of these groups, and wishes everyone involved every success in delivering programmes that benefit people in the local community who are reliant on them.
