Beatlie School Campus Wins Award

That the Parliament congratulates Beatlie School Campus on being the first special school in West Lothian to achieve a Gold Award from UNICEF; notes that the school is also one of seven schools in West Lothian to have achieved the Gold Award; acknowledges that it is one of three schools to have achieved the top award in the Rights Respecting Schools programme; understands that it has placed the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the core of the school's planning policies, practice and ethos; notes that the school has participated throughout the year to achieve this award and others, such as the Changing Places and UNICEF OutRight campaigns, as well as through support from the community, and commends all staff and pupils on this remarkable achievement that the whole community can be proud of.
