That the Parliament congratulates the Edinburgh Beer Factory on it being hailed as the best in the UK at the prestigious 2018 World Beer Awards; understands that the independent family-owned brewery, which is located in the Bankhead Industrial Estate in the Edinburgh Pentlands constituency, has proved to be a serial winner, winning two World’s Best Style awards as well as the award for the UK’s Best Helles Lager; understands that, with these three wins, it was officially recognised as the highest performing UK brewery at the awards, and commends its head brewer, Martin Borland, and all of its staff, on the success of its “eclectic range of beers” that projects “the best of modern Scotland back out at the world”.
