That the Parliament congratulates Callendar House on achieving 5-star quality assurance status from VisitScotland; understands that the tourist attraction in Falkirk, which dates back to the 14th century, received an exceptional score in categories such as core experience, hospitality, friendliness, staff efficiency, catering and cleanliness, following a quality assurance visit; commends what it sees as the stellar efforts of staff at the house, and those at Falkirk Community Trust, for showing commitment and dedication throughout the year to ensure that Callendar House remains one of Falkirk district’s and Scotland’s top tourist attractions; considers what it sees as Falkirk district’s vital importance in Scotland’s tourism industry, being home to James Watt’s Cottage, Kinneil House, Blackness Castle, the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies and Helix Park to name but a few; highlights the increasing requirement to secure investment into Falkirk district so that tourists continue to visit and stay in the area; encourages more people from across Scotland and the world to visit and experience what Callendar House has to offer, and looks forward to seeing more attractions in Falkirk district aspiring to achieve the 5-star status they deserve in the near future.
