That the Parliament welcomes the funding of £1.2 million that has been secured by Falkirk Council, working with Bo’ness United and Dunipace Juniors football clubs, to build 3G all-weather pitches at their grounds in Bo’ness and Denny; understands that £370,000 for each pitch will be added to £500,000 of funding from sportscotland to move forward with plans to build these pitches, which will open up new opportunities to the communities in which they lie, including better access to sports facilities for schools and local groups, a new girls football programme in Bo’ness and a walking football programme for older people, which will enhance and further improve the health and wellbeing of people within these communities; congratulates Newtown Park Association in Bo’ness and Dunipace Juniors Football Club on their hard work and dedication in securing these pitches for their respective communities; further congratulates Falkirk Council on ensuring the support for these groups and securing the funding for the projects, and looks forward to these new facilities opening in due course.
