That the Parliament commends the March for Our Lives: Edinburgh protesters taking to the streets on 24 March 2018; notes that the march is one of over 800 worldwide showing solidarity with the Parkland students' campaign to end gun violence and mass shootings in schools in the United States; congratulates the organisers of the event, Kiara Sarner, Caroline Lill, Nora Washbourne and Beth Monahan Brown, who are from Edinburgh, Phoebe Hancock, from Dundee, and Jennifer Payne, from Glasgow, which is taking place outside the US Consulate in Edinburgh; understands that it will be a family-friendly, peaceful protest, which will include speeches from family members of victims of the Dunblane massacre, as well as poetry and live music, and encourages members of the public to get involved by attending the march.
