Fort Kinnaird Skills Programme for Young People

That the Parliament welcomes the new training programme launched by Fort Kinnaird retail park, Bright Lights Starting Out in Retail and Hospitality; understands that the five-week training programme is open to young people aged between 16 and 24 and will teach them skills associated with the retail and hospitality sectors; notes that the various outlets at the retail park will be involved by offering work placements as part of the programme, which will combine with classroom teaching; further notes that the programme will begin in September 2017 and that a taster session on 2 August will allow young people to sign up; recognises the value that this scheme will have for young people who want to begin a career in retail or hospitality, and wishes everyone involved in the programme all the very best.
