That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that Aberdeen Harbour Board is to contribute £20,000 towards a project to construct the Greyhope Bay marine education centre, which will serve as a marine science and heritage hub, in the city close to Torry; endorses the comments of the chief executive of the harbour board, Colin Parker, that the project could become a "a great asset for the local community, city and region, it could also become an important visitor attraction for tourists, including cruise ship passengers from all over the world"; understands that experts have suggested that the site is one of the best places in the UK to see marine life, particularly dolphins, and hopes that, once completed, it will be of significant importance to the conservation and research of marine life for many years to come.
