Excellent Inspection Result for Sue Ryder - Dee View Court

That the Parliament commends Sue Ryder – Dee View Court in Aberdeen on achieving “excellent” grades in all aspects during a recent unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate; understands that the facility, which looks after 22 adults with neurological conditions affecting the brain and nervous system, was graded as excellent in Quality of Care and Support and Quality of Staffing; recognises that the Dee View Court facility was praised for the way that staff organised transfers for recent new arrivals and how welcome they and their families had been made to feel; understands that the centre provides a range of support, such as long-term residential care, supported living, short-term respite care and rehabilitation; notes also that Sue Ryder staff currently run the 5Rs self-management programme for people with MS from Dee View Court and will be launching a new self-management programme for people will all neurological conditions in October 2016; congratulates all the staff and management at Sue Ruder – Dee View Court on their excellent inspection result, and commends them on their work in supporting people with complex neurological conditions.
