  • Submitted by: Craig Hoy, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 18 September 2025
  • Motion type: Standard Motion
  • Motion reference: S6M-18958

That the Parliament welcomes the news that AndyMansClub has launched its first group at the Market Hall in Annan; recognises that the suicide prevention charity supports men through the power of conversation and works to challenge the stigma surrounding men’s mental health; notes that the charity runs free, confidential weekly groups; understands that the new group follows the success of groups in Cumbria, which were attended by men travelling from the south west of Scotland, and that strong community support in Annan has helped bring the initiative to the town; commends Annan Athletic FC and the area's businesses for their role in raising awareness, and congratulates the charity, its facilitators and community volunteers for their work to support men’s mental health and wellbeing in Dumfriesshire.
