That the Parliament congratulates Sofie Hooper on her appointment as Deputy CEO of The Association for Project Safety (APS); notes that Sophie joins APS from her role as Head of Policy and Research at the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM); understands that Sofie spearheaded both IWFM’s Building Safety policy strategy and co-authored the key industry post Grenfell report, Safer people, safer homes: Building Safety Management, helping influence the implementation of the Building Safety Act 2022; further understands that Sophie, who has spent much of her career as a public policy advisor, was also instrumental in securing the inclusion of The Building Safety Alliance into pre-legislative parliamentary and government reports; believes that The Association for Project Safety (APS ) has been a driving force in improving health and safety standards within the construction industry since it was founded in 1995, and wishes Sophie every success in her new role at APS.
