That the Parliament congratulates Research into Inflammatory Arthritis Centre Versus Arthritis (RACE) on reaching its 10th anniversary of research into the causes and potential cures for inflammatory arthritis; recognises RACE as a collaborative research initiative involving the Universities of Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle and Oxford, and funded by Versus Arthritis; understands that these auto-immune conditions have a serious impact on more than one in 100 people in Scotland who have rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, juvenile idiopathic athritis, axial spondylarthritis or other similar disabling musculoskeletal conditions; notes that RACE was initiated in Glasgow in 2014 as a multi-centre national and international research, education and training collaboration between universities, hospitals and clinical centres; congratulates RACE on its internationally recognised clinical research and discoveries that are aimed at halting these diseases, and commends RACE and all its collaborators for their excellent work and contributions in this field
