That the Parliament congratulates Galedin Vets on achieving the prestigious Silver award from Investors in the Environment (iiE) in recognition of its commitment to environmental sustainability; acknowledges what it sees as the significant progress made by the practice following its Bronze award in 2022, as it now aims for the top-level Green award; commends the various initiatives introduced by Galedin Vets to reduce its carbon footprint, including a 40% reduction in the last 12 months through improved waste management and the implementation of a company travel plan; celebrates the introduction of electric vehicle (EV) charging points at three sites, with plans to expand further as the practice transitions to electric and hybrid fleet vehicles; praises the creation of green outdoor spaces at its Galashiels location; notes the practice's dedication to supporting local charities, events and organisations, and the efforts of its wellbeing group in fostering a positive working environment, and encourages other businesses to follow Galedin Vets' example in pursuing sustainability and community engagement.
