Kwik Fit Team to Walk the West Highland Way for Air Ambulances UK

  • Submitted by: Alexander Stewart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 05 June 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13490

That the Parliament welcomes the news that the centre manager for Kwik Fit Stirling and Alloa, Ryan Maunder, has joined up with five of his counterparts across Scotland to take on the 96-mile West Highland Way to support Air Ambulances UK; understands that, as the West Highland Way runs from Milngavie to Fort William, the six walkers will set off from the Milngavie branch of Kwik Fit, a few short metres from the official start to the trail; believes that Ryan will be joined by Rhys Thompson from Glenrothes, Gregg Lang from Glasgow, Shaun McLernon from East Kilbride, Gary Stevenson from Hamilton and Jason Barry, regional network manager for Kwik Fit; acknowledges that Air Ambulances UK raises money for all air ambulance charities across the country and serves to raise awareness of their work; notes that anyone wishing to donate to Ryan’s efforts can donate through its fundraising page or through any of the centres’ webpages at kwik-fit.com, and wishes Ryan and all the team the very best of luck in this excellent endeavour.
