That the Parliament congratulates all those who competed in the Scottish Coal Carrying Championships 2023, which were held on 26 August 2023 in Kelty, Fife; understands that the annual coal race originates from the stories that colliers in the late 1800s ran home from the pits with either bags of "rakers" or "clugs" in their bags; recognises that this annual event attracts individuals from all over Scotland to compete; understands that the event was a great family day out, with a range of performances and activities for all the family; thanks all the volunteers and sponsors for their hard work in delivering the event, and wishes them all the best for the future.
