That the Parliament thanks the staff, contestants and volunteers from the UCI Cycling World Championships for organising several successful Mountain Bike World Championship events at Glentress Forest; understands that the events were supported by Scottish Borders Council, South of Scotland Enterprise and Forestry and Land Scotland; acknowledges the contributions of Tweed Valley-based ESO Sports as the event delivery partner for Glentress; recognises that the Mountain Bike World Championship events welcomed thousands of visitors from across the world into the Scottish Borders, and believes that this could not have been possible without the support of the 360 volunteers who helped to deliver the championships in Glentress Forest.
