That the Parliament thanks taxi drivers from across Lothian who participated in the 74th Edinburgh Taxi Outing to beautiful coastal areas of East Lothian; understands that the outing has been a yearly tradition since 1947, which treated children with special needs, life-limiting conditions and terminal illnesses to an unforgettable day out; notes that the procession began at Edinburgh Zoo then stopped at Musselburgh where the children were treated to ice cream at Luca's before heading to Archerfield Walled Garden in East Lothian; understands that the parade of cars that formed part of the procession were decorated with balloons and took on various themes; further understands that members of the public were encouraged to watch the procession armed with water pistols, water bombs and buckets of water to soak the parade of cars; acknowledges that the 2023 Outing was the first outing after a two-year hiatus; understands that awards were given for the best float taxi, best balloon taxi, best fancy-dressed driver and best fancy-dressed child, and thanks members of the public who participated in the event.
