That the Parliament congratulates the team behind the Hebridean Celtic Festival on its well deserved award of Event of the Year at the Hands Up for Trad Awards on 4 December 2022; notes that the festival saw record breaking success at its 25th festival in 2021; commends the work of Caroline Maclennan, who co-established the festival and served as festival director since the Celtic Festival’s inaugural year; congratulates Caroline on being awarded the Hamish Henderson Award for services to traditional music; wishes her the best on her retirement from the role of festival director, and offers the Hebridean Celtic Festival and its new festival director, Graham McCallum, who helped deliver 2022’s well-received event, future success for the forthcoming 2023 festival.
