Support for Orkney Charitable Trust

  • Submitted by: Jamie Halcro Johnston, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 21 November 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06840

That the Parliament congratulates Debbie Delday, Orkney’s “Mrs Fudge”, and others for organising the recent online auction which raised £4,540 for the Orkney Charitable Trust; thanks all those individuals and organisations, who donated prizes, made bids or otherwise supported the fundraising, for their fantastic efforts for young people and their families in Orkney; commends the Orkney Charitable Trust on its vital work giving support to people aged under 25 in Orkney who are experiencing ill-health, disability, hardship or disadvantage, and believes that their work, while always important, is particularly so in 2022 as the cost of living crisis impacts on young people and families across the country.
