  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 27 September 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06038

That the Parliament congratulates both staff and pupils of Crossgates Primary School for becoming the first school in Fife to win a national young carers support prize; understands that the Recognising We Care Award highlights the progress of the school in providing help for pupils who take on a caring role at home; further understands that all staff are up-skilled and trained by Fife Young Carers on how to spot young carers within their classes; recognises that a club was established within the school, providing a safe space for young carers for them to come together; understands that the school has made funding available to support young carers to take part in extra-curricular clubs and trips; thanks all staff for what it considers their hard work and dedication to support pupils, and wishes the school all the very best for the future.
