That the Parliament acknowledges that the City of Inverness Highland Games will return for the 200th year on 16 July 2022, with the first game being held in 1822; notes the cultural significance of the Games, which, it understands, is one of the largest events in Inverness and brings in thousands of visitors every year to take part in a variety of athletic competitions, listen to the pipe bands and watch Highland dancing; celebrates this significant landmark, and commends all those at Highlife Highland for their hard work and commitment in organising the event.
