The Glasgow Group of the Riding for the Disabled Association

That the Parliament congratulates the Glasgow Group of the Riding for the Disabled Association, based at Summerston, within the Maryhill and Springburn constituency, on receiving £9,114 funding from the National Lottery Community Fund; welcomes that the funds will be used to enable three groups of young people who have additional support needs to participate in an eight-week programme of therapeutic horse riding sessions; commends the work of the Glasgow Group of the Riding for the Disabled Association, which has been providing such opportunities for individuals and families across Glasgow since 1988; acknowledges the work of over 100 volunteers who, it understands, each week offer their time and dedication to ensure the success of the organisation as well as ensuring vital opportunities exist for many people living with disabilities; thanks everyone who has contributed to its success over many years, and looks forward to the Glasgow Group of the Riding for the Disabled Association continuing their excellent work for many years to come.
