- Date lodged: Tuesday, 19 November 2019
- Motion reference: S5M-19939.1
As an amendment to motion S5M-19939 in the name of Richard Leonard (Universal Credit), leave out "universal credit," and insert "stopping Brexit will generate a £50 billion remain bonus, which can be used to tackle inequality and build a brighter future; agrees that the roll-out of universal credit by the UK Government has been shambolic and that it was undermined before it even began through billions of pounds of cuts; believes that money needs to be spent supporting people instead of on more administration; agrees that universal credit needs to be reformed and fixed so that it is underpinned by dignity and respect, backed by investment, and that".
