The Contract awarded by CMAL is a standard BIMCO NewBuildCon and as such the decision regarding equipment lies with the shipyard.

Ship building and the supply of goods is a global business and Cemre Marin Endustri in Turkey has contracted with Scottish manufacturers for equipment, which will be transported to Turkey to be fitted to the new Islay vessels .

The Scottish Government does not hold data on the number of industrial units built for SMEs. Relevant asset owners are responsible for property within their ownership. Local authorities may hold data on development in their area.

The Scottish Government has no plans to reduce the allocated £10m in sustainability payments to general practices.

The Scottish Government does not believe it is necessary to make a specific assessment of the implications of its policies of the reported greater success rate of hen harrier nests on non-RSPB nature reserves compared to RSPB nature reserves.

Hen harrier success rates are dependent on a number of different factors, as set out in the response to PQs S5W-20621 and S5W-26208. A significant reason for the lower productivity on RSPB reserves is because several are on Orkney where there is a high level of polygyny (males having 2-3 females). As males cannot provision up to 3 nests, failure of the 2nd & 3rd females is regular with fewer young raised (than a monogamous pair) even if they are successful.

CMAL scores foreign and domestic shipbuilders the same. The evaluation criteria cannot discriminate against any bid as each compliant bid is valued on its own merit.

Final budget allocations have not yet been made for FY 23-24.

There are currently no plans to implement the C:Card scheme across all NHS Boards in Scotland, however free condoms are available through a number of initiatives and can be accessed across the country.

All NHS Boards in Scotland offer free condoms, but the way in which this service is provided varies. Most NHS Boards offer free condoms by post to anyone living within the Board area, as well as making them available to pick up at various NHS facilities and other locations including some schools. Third sector organisations, such as Waverley Care and the Terrence Higgins Trust, also provide free condoms.

The Scottish Government are currently developing a refreshed Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Framework. As part of this work, the provision of contraception will be considered, and any learning from the C:Card scheme will be taken into account.
