To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S6W-17015 by Neil Gray on 10 May 2023, what strategic economic and industrial assessment it has made of the potential impact that the loss of another FTSE 250-listed company's operational headquarters from Scotland would have, and what action it can take with the company to prevent this.

Capricorn Energy announced in February the intention to carry out a strategic review of its wider operations, which has culminated in the company citing a strong case for its rationalisation activities across the business.

Whilst Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) was offered to the company to support those individuals affected by the company’s decision to reduce their workforce, the company advised that this support was not required.

This is ultimately a matter for the company and no specific analysis has been undertaken by the Scottish Government in this instance but we know that some of the benefits of headquarters include quality jobs with higher wages, beneficial supply chain impacts and knowledge exchange, as well as contributing to a healthy labour market in senior management roles.

Scottish Government and our agencies continue to promote Scotland’s strength and capabilities to attract and retain those overseas owned businesses and organisations Headquartered in Scotland, as well as supporting existing Scottish domiciled businesses, making Scotland an attractive location for companies to innovate, grow and invest for the future.

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the commitment in its Care in the Digital Age: Delivery Plan 2022-23, whether it has introduced new workforce models that increase capability and capacity to deliver digital mental health therapies in health boards through the development of digital therapy teams.

The workforce model has been developed in response to the growing demand for digital mental health services. The model consists of additional clinical and administrative staff that will improve local expertise on digital mental health, provide in-house support for patients and support the future delivery needs of these services. Discussions on the recruitment to digital therapy teams in Boards are underway.

To ask the Scottish Government what progress has been made towards adopting the Daffodil Standards for delivering end of life care.

The Scottish Government recognises the important role of primary care teams in delivering care to patients living with advanced, serious illness or at the end of life, and their loved ones.

The Daffodil Standards are one initiative to support general practice teams to improve the care that they provide to people near the end of life. The Scottish Government does not collect data centrally on participation in the Standards. Further information about the Standards and the GP practices working with them is available on the RCGP website.

To ask the Scottish Government what plans it has to expand the use and availability of React technology at more railway stations, in order to support visually impaired people.

ScotRail advise that currently there is no plan to install more REACT technology at more stations. New adaptable Smart wayfinding technology that uses GPS location is being trialled and subject to positive feedback, a decision will be made by ScotRail as to whether that can be installed at more stations. At Dundee, ScotRail has partnered with RNIB and MyEyes (iKi Technologies) to test this technology linking the Museum and the train station.
