Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government how much the re-tendering process for the 2016-24 Clyde and Hebrides Ferry Services contract will cost; what restrictions will apply to alternative chartering arrangements proposed in the bid, and whether the successful bidder will be required to (a) carry out annual dry dock maintenance of all vessels or be able to use competitive negotiated procedure to the lengthen contractual periods between such maintenance and (b) charter Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited's current fleet.
