Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government what activities were carried out by its official, who was stationed at the Sheraton Hotel in Edinburgh for three nights for the International Council of Education Advisers meeting in August 2016, outside of normal working hours that could not have been carried out during normal business hours, and what (a) meetings they had and (b) briefings they provided to the council outside of normal working hours.
