Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government what its position is on the privatisation of delivery of NHS dental services in (a) Sanquhar, (b) Lochside, (c) Dumfries, (d) Eyemouth, (e) Kirkwall, (f) Patna and (g) Dalmellington, given the assurances of the Deputy First Minister on 11 March 2012 that “As long as we are in charge, there will be no privatisation of the NHS in Scotland. Let me say loudly and clearly. Not here, Not now, Not ever”.

To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to the findings of the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland report, The care and treatment of Mrs CD, which examined issues surrounding women in prison.

To ask the Scottish Government whether, as part of the Scottish Patient Safety Programme, it will require NHS boards to incorporate Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) guidelines into publicly available local protocols or the equivalent within a set timescale.
