Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government what its position is on whether the data systems of drug treatment services, maternity services and children's reporters are able to share information adequately in order to determine the number of pregnant drug misusers in each local authority area and how many of the children that they give birth to will require and receive appropriate support, broken down by service.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S3W-39723 by Fergus Ewing on 4 March 2011, what progress has been made in increasing the number of electronic submission of SMR25 forms from (a) statutory drug services, (b) the Scottish Prison Service and (c) primary care providers and whether primary care providers must complete the form electronically in order to receive a fee.

To ask the Scottish Government for what reason the Scottish Women-Held Maternity Record is not used as the initial starting point for health visitor assessments and, in light of the information from these assessments not being held on a national basis, what its positon is on the impact that this can have on patients who move to a different NHS board area.
