To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to introduce one-stop clinics for sexual health.
Answer
NHS Boards are expected to provide a full range of sexual health services. It is for boards to plan how such services are provided on their assessment of local needs.

To ask the Scottish Executive when its Sexual Health Strategy will be published.
Answer
The first stage of the strategy, which consisted of a survey of existing sexual health services and their effectiveness, has now been completed. This will inform the development of the next stage, which is now under consideration.

To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1O-3930 by Susan Deacon on 25 October 2001, whether sufficient information is available to the public concerning the increased risk of melanoma associated with the use of artificial sun tanning apparatus.
Answer
Health Education Board for Scotland provides a variety of information and advice for the public about reducing cancer risk. This information is available directly from their website www.hebs.scot.nhs.uk. NHS Boards also undertake dedicated awareness raising campaigns from time to time and have leaflets and information readily available.

To ask the Scottish Executive what impact the closure of the Western Infirmary, Glasgow, will have on waiting times at accident and emergency departments in Glasgow.
Answer
The future provision of all acute hospital services in Glasgow is being considered within NHS Glasgow's Acute Services Review. The outcome of the review must include satisfactory proposals for accident and emergency services throughout the city.

To ask the Scottish Executive what funds it has given to the Glasgow Housing Association or to any other bodies for publicising the proposed transfer of the Glasgow City Council housing stock.
Answer
In 2000-01 the Glasgow Housing Association and Glasgow City Council spent a total of £2.7 million on communication and tenant consultation costs. A further £2.3 million has been earmarked for these costs in the current year.

To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has received regarding the absence of signs directing visitors to the stadium at Hampden Park.
Answer
The Scottish Football Association (SFA) wrote to the Scottish Executive asking if anything could be done to improve signing for Hampden Park from the road network. The SFA was provided with a copy of the Trunk Road and Motorway Tourist Signposting Policy, and advised to submit any application for signing through the trunk road Operating Company, Amey Highways. No application has yet been received from the SFA.
