To ask the Scottish Executive how many employees of its health directorates earn over £100,000 per annum.
Answer
In line with data protection the Scottish Government does not disclose figures below six. As the number of permanent employees within the Health and Social Care Directorates who earn an annual salary above £100,000 is less than six we are unable to provide an exact figure.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether all revenue raised from its proposed large retail supplement will go to local government.
Answer
The additional income raised from the public health supplement will be distributed to local authorities through the local government finance settlement.
The income will be used as a contribution towards the preventative spend measures that will be taken forward jointly by the Scottish Government, local authorities, the NHS and the third sector.

To ask the Scottish Executive to whom its proposed large retail supplement will apply.
Answer
The Scottish Government has no plans to introduce a large retail supplement, but it will bring forward legislation to implement a public health supplement to support preventative spend measures.
It is estimated that around 240 retail premises listed on the valuation rolls for Scotland will be liable for the public health supplement. This represents 0.1% of all non-domestic properties in Scotland.
Further details will be available when the legislation for the public health supplement is laid in parliament in the New Year.
