To ask the Scottish Government what its position is on NHS boards contracting with Atos Healthcare to deliver personal independence payment assessments, in light of such assessments being set by the Department of Work and Pensions.
Answer
This is a matter for individual boards. However, I would expect boards to deliver services to the highest standards.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will uprate the health grant for those affected by thalidomide from the 2010 baseline and, if so, by how much.
Answer
The Scottish Government is committed to establishing an appropriate level of funding which ensures the best possible outcome for Scottish Thalidomiders. We are currently working closely with the Department of Health and other devolved administrations to agree the level, and duration of that future funding.
The Department of Health is currently discussing options with treasury and we hope to make an announcement in the coming weeks.

To ask the Scottish Government which NHS boards, other than NHS Lanarkshire, have signed a contract with Atos Healthcare to deliver personal independence payment assessments of sick and disabled people that involves Salus.
Answer
My understanding is that the contract is between Salus and Atos Healthcare. I am not aware that any other NHS board has signed a contract with Atos Healthcare to deliver personal independence payment assessments. Salus may, however, subcontract with other boards to help in the delivery of the contract.

To ask the Scottish Government which NHS boards, other than NHS Lanarkshire, have a relationship with Salus and what the nature of any such relationship is.
Answer
It is understood that Salus has and had various arrangements and partnerships with the occupational health services of other NHS boards. The details of these contracting arrangements are a delegated matter for individual NHS boards to manage, and information is not held centrally.

It is for the UK Government to determine the nature of any engagement they may wish to have with overseas governments or agencies.
