Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government what the basis was for the decision for applications to the Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan and Private Rented Sector Landlord Loan schemes for solar PV and/or energy storage systems to be ineligible unless the applicant is also applying for this as part of a package together with a heat pump or high heat retention storage heaters, from 27 June 2023.

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the recommendation in the Scottish Police Federation's 2019 Deep Dive Interim Report, whether the Scottish Police Authority ever referred itself to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service to cause an investigation into whether it breached the provisions of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on what action the (a) Scottish Police Authority and (b) Chief Constable took in light of the recommendation in the Scottish Police Federation’s 2019 Deep Dive Interim Report that "the police accommodation at 326 and 328 Argyll Street Dunoon be closed immediately and suitable alternative accommodation for the police officers residing there be provided".
