Loch Fyne Oysters Celebrates Double Culinary Achievement

  • Submitted by: Donald Cameron, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 28 August 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-10236

That the Parliament congratulates Loch Fyne Oysters on receiving three stars for its Kinglas Fillet smoked salmon at the 2023 Great Taste Awards, and for being in the running for a Golden Fork award; understands that judging was held over 89 days in Dorset and London, where 14,195 food and drink products from 109 different countries were judged; recognises that just 248, including Loch Fyne Oysters’ Kinglas Fillet, were awarded a Great Taste three-star for “extraordinarily tasty food and drink”; notes that all three-star winning products will now be judged at an even higher level for the chance to take home a Golden Fork Award at the Great Taste Golden Forks Awards ceremony in London, and wishes the company the best of the luck at the final awards ceremony in September 2023 and in the future.
