Aberdeen Airport Midnight Runway Run

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen International Airport and CHC Helicopters on the success of the 2023 Midnight Runway Run, which it understands has raised thousands of pounds for charity; notes that the money will be split between four charities, AberNecessities, Befriend a Child, Wee Too! and Kayleigh’s Wee Stars; understands that 400 participants ran 4K down the lit-up runaway at Aberdeen International Airport; further understands that, in the previous three years, 1,000 people took part and £120,000 was raised for good causes; gives thanks to CHC Helicopter’s Captain, Ryan Broadhurst, for organising the event with the airport’s operations team; appreciates all those who have made donations, as well as the official sponsors, Ace Aviation, Signature Flight Support, ABM, Hampton by Hilton, Falck Fire Services and NATs, and wishes the event all the best for the future.
