Grangemouth Band Named in Best Scottish Bands 2022 List

That the Parliament congratulates the Cocteau Twins on being named number 11 of the Best Scottish Bands 2022, according to readers of The Scotsman newspaper; understands that the vote included bands and artists from across Scotland and included musicians of all genres; acknowledges the other 24 bands named on the list, including multi-chart toppers, Deacon Blue and Bay City Rollers and also lesser known bands such as Boards of Canada and The Jesus and Mary Chain; notes that the Cocteau Twins were formed in Grangemouth and were recording music between 1982 and 1996; understands that the Cocteau Twins were awarded Q Awards Inspiration Award in 2008 and were awarded the Visionary Award by The Ivors Academy in 2022; congratulates the Cocteau Twins and all those listed in the Best Scottish Bands 2022 list according to readers of The Scotsman newspaper, and wishes all the bands, band members and musicians well for the future.
