That the Parliament celebrates the success of Aros an Rubha in being named Best Community Project at the 2022 Scottish Green Energy Awards; understands that the team behind Aros an Rubha revitalised the former Knock School on the Isle of Lewis, turning it into a mixed renewables community hub, which offers resilience during power outages; further understands that the hub is working towards becoming entirely off-grid; recognises that the hub, which uses a mix of energy sources, including solar panels, is believed to be the largest community solar array in the UK; congratulates everyone at Aros an Rubha on winning this fantastic award, and wishes them well going forward with the project.
