Inverurie Environmental Improvement Group Receives Award from Keep Scotland Beautiful

That the Parliament congratulates Inverurie Environmental Improvement Group for receiving an award from environmental charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful, at a virtual celebration and award ceremony; recognises that Inverurie Environmental Improvement Group won a gold award in the medium town category; understands that in 2022 a full Beautiful Scotland competition was held after a two-year pause with medal certificates, awards for best-in-category, the prestigious Rosebowl, and special discretionary awards being presented at the online ceremony; acknowledges that 46 entrants, from 18 local authority areas, were congratulated for their efforts to support and enhance their local communities, encouraging biodiversity and nature, and contributing to climate action at the online event; understands that the competition is run by the charity in association with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and provides the opportunity for volunteers, groups and local authorities to gain recognition for their efforts to protect and enhance their local places; notes that in autumn and winter 2022, Keep Scotland Beautiful will be travelling through the country to visit judged entrants who wish to be presented with their certificates and awards, and thanks Inveurie Environmental Improvement Group for its hard work around Inverurie.
